Putting You in the Picture  

One of my interests is Narrative Painting. I compose scenes, mainly Townscapes, which I hope will encourage you to create stories behind the characters you see. I leave the visual interpretation to you, the observer. How you weave such a story is up to you and your imagination. I hope you enjoy the tales you create.

I also paint Landscapes, Marine, Architectural, and Floral pictures.

Much of my work is painted in my studio, but I do enjoy "en plein air" sketching and painting and together with Paul Gadenne helped to start the Canterbury Urban Sketchers Group.

I usually limit my palette to just six colours French Ultramarine, Cobalt Blue, Raw and Burnt Sienna, Cadmium Red and Cadmium Yellow, occasionally adding Alizarin.
